Part-Time Executive Director
About NHSH
North Haven Sustainable Housing (NHSH) is a North Haven-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that seeks to provide ownership and rental options to North Haven year-round residents and seniors and supports the weatherization and efficiency of year-round homes. NHSH currently manages three island rentals, and has built, renovated, and resold numerous other year-round homes. NHSH recently completed the development of “Southern Harbor House”, an island eldercare facility now owned and managed by Southern Harbor Eldercare Services.
Executive Director Role: The Executive Director (ED) will manage the development of new homeownership and rental projects, current rentals, project and organizational fundraising, public relations, permitting and legal issues. The ED should have non-profit management and fundraising experience, experience with construction projects and their management, and/or similar relevant experiences. The ED position will be part-time and the salary and hours will be based on experience and current projects. At least 20 hours/week is anticipated. The ED will report to the NHSH board of directors and will work in partnership with a bookkeeper, professional NHSH support (attorney, civil engineers, architects, etc), board volunteers, and community members.
